Presenter: Kunhee Shawn Kim (“Shawn”) is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R. TCMP) and Acupuncturist (R. Ac), as well as Doctor of TCM (BC license). After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University, his interest in East Asian medicine led him to study the Advanced Program of TCM at Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TSTCM). Through volunteer work at the Dorothy Ley Hospice, he came to realize how much East-West integrative medicine has to offer cancer patients. He has also learned advanced techniques such as Master Tung’s and Zhu’s acupuncture and treats a wide variety of conditions. With treatment personalized to each patient’s need, he seeks to improve patients’ quality of life to their maximum.
