This talk will provide some basics on promoting wellness using Traditional Chinese Medicine nutrition concepts. According to this millennia-old health philosophy, our health flourishes when we get aligned with the cycles and rhythms of nature. We’ll cover:
- Basic concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine nutrition: flavours, thermal natures, other characteristics, and cooking methods
- Basics of “Hot” and “Cold” foods and body types according to TCM
- Eating according to the seasonal and daily rhythms
- How to eat to support the digestive system
- The path to healthy eating habits
- General food recommendations in cancer patients and during cancer treatment
The workshop will be presented LIVE, so you can ask questions and make sure you understand.

Carmen is a Registered Acupuncturist who works with her patients to develop comprehensive and personalized treatment plans that holistically restore their physical, emotional and mental well-being. Her professional background includes practicing as a Registered Nurse in Spain for over 10 years, during which time she offered her services to the oncology, cardiology, internal medicine, community health, and intensive care units, as well as volunteering in Africa (Guinea Bissau). Carmen aims not only relieve her patient’s symptoms, but treat the underlying root cause of the disease as well.
